Recruiting: Following Up with Leads That Download Content
Does this scenario sound familiar?
- Your prospect downloads a white paper from your company, you give them a call to see if they have any questions.
- They say no. You hang up without scheduling a meeting.
- This is a common scenario and is a lose-lose for both you and the prospect.
- You don’t get to share your insights with them and you don’t schedule a meeting.
- Try this instead:
- “What piqued your interest in the white paper?”
- This way you can dig deeper about why they are doing research and you’ll be able to have a more relevant conversation!
Quick Tips: Email Engagement Follow Up
Do you see you have a group of prospects that have opened your email?
- That’s the perfect group to pick up the phone and call!
- No answer?
- Send a Vidyard message
- The perfect time to connect with them is when they have your brokerage top of mind.
- Nine times out of ten they’ll tell you that they were just looking at your email, use that to your advantage.
- You could say something like “what about that email caught your eye?”
- Also, when somebody hangs up on you, make it a goal to move on to the next call as soon as possible.
- Don’t waste time with disappointment!
