Summer is finally here, and with it comes a fresh wave of opportunities and exciting developments in the world of real estate broker recruiting. Inside you’ll find tips, best practices, and some key Brokerkit platform updates. So let’s kick things off!
Essential Recruiting Tips:
When you’re making recruitment calls, avoid starting by mentioning an email you previously sent them.
It’s highly probable they don’t remember your email. The main issue here is that it lacks intrigue for them, and you’ll likely end up reiterating what was in the email. Be engaging right from the start.
Focus on the real purpose of the call. You can do this in several ways:
- “The reason I’m reaching out is…”
- “It seems you have deep expertise in the XXXX market”
- “noticed you recently had successful property transactions in X location”
- “I discovered your profile when looking for top-performing real estate agents”
Refrain from discussing your past unsuccessful attempts to connect with them via email. Clarify why you’re genuinely making the call.

We’re excited to announce the rollout of our latest feature – Tabs for Contact Timeline. This addition comes directly from your valuable feedback, demonstrating our commitment to evolve Brokerkit in line with your needs.
This new feature enhances your experience by categorizing the contact timeline activity into different tabs based on the activity type. To start using this feature, navigate to the contact timeline on any contact record. You’ll see the newly introduced tabs, each representing a distinct activity type.
3 Sentences to Avoid in Your Recruitment Calls (and how to substitute them)
Here are a few sentences to eliminate in your recruitment calls and suggestions for what you can replace them with:
Avoid: “I’d love to introduce you to our brokerage” Instead of discussing what YOU want to do, concentrate on how you can assist THEM.
Replace with: “Would you be open to learning more about our brokerage and discussing how we can address challenges X in your real estate career?”
Avoid: “I’d love to understand more about your real estate experience” or any variant of this. You should have already done your homework. Show them it’s not a random call and that you’re contacting them for a specific reason.
Replace with: “I noticed that you recently closed a deal on Property X. (Insert relevant question based on this).
Avoid: “I’m merely reconnecting with you concerning our previous conversation”
Replace with: “A few months ago, we spoke about XYZ. We recently assisted another agent in this area, and it brought you to mind. (insert question on their current situation).”
In conclusion, ensure your calls are centered on them, not you.
